Neil Copestake, Is proud to announce that for the remainder of the 2008 grasstrack season, in conjunction with
U.K. JRM (Jawa) importer Alan & Jamie Bellham of “Speedway Services Ltd”.
Oliver “Ollie” Rayson will be riding a JRM factory prototype grasstrack chassis, powered by North Oxon Grasstrack & Speedway Services 250 JRM engine.
15 year old Ollie, is now competing in adult classes on a duel licence, he has been riding a 250 Honda XL powered grass bike for the past few seasons in youth classes, he rides this bike to the limit, and although it’s dated, his results speak for themselves, (2nd to Streety @ Ledbury - 1st overall @ Leamington) this is my way of giving a youngster a hand, just as I was a lot of years ago by John Burbidge & Ken Wilsher.
Paul Rayson, Ollie’s dad said “This is just what he needs; he is riding very well on the speedway for Boston at the moment, and it’s nice to see people are prepared to back him, he can’t wait to ride the bike”
For those of you that know Ollie, all he could keep saying was “Thank you, I will do my best”
The prototype chassis that has been supplied by the JRM factory is in direct response to requests by Alan Bellham for a unique chassis set up for the very successful 250 JRM engine, Alan said “The 250 engine needs to be in a shorter chassis to help it turn, the JRM factory have responded to this request, and the result is a new shorter bike specially made for the 250 engine, this is a “works pre production prototype” here in the UK for testing and development, and should become a production model next year available to the general public, I am very pleased to help Neil support Ollie, with the way Ollie rides, and his quite attitude we are confident he and the bike will do very well ”
The first meeting the bike will be at is Tory Hill, and the rest of the seasons meetings will fit around speedway commitments.
